About us
I'm Kieran Cotter, founder of Cotter’s Cottage. My journey began with restoring my grandmother’s derelict cottage into my forever home. With little formal training, I taught myself through research, hands-on experience, and learning from skilled tradespeople.
Frustrated by the lack of clear advice on traditional building methods, I realised the need for better guidance. Now, I offer mentoring and building services to support self-builders and restore Ireland’s rural heritage—sustainably and authentically.
